Mirror of God

I stand before the mirror, it reflects back to me,

The tie needs reshaping, hair needs to be free.

A tweak here, a fix there, the look I pursue,

Ready to face the day with a vision anew.

Striving to become what I don't yet see,

Chasing a dream that feels so far to me.

Did I miss something in the mirror's gaze,

An essential truth hid by life's busy maze?

But as I stand before God, my Father, my guide,

He reveals the tie is nonessential, no need to hide.

Every hair counted, every imperfection embraced,

In His love, I find my place, no need to race.

I was made to engage with the day ahead,

To share the love of God, in abundance I'm led.

That's why I give, with grace to spare,

Blessed with His love, more than enough to share.

I cherish the mirror that reveals my worth,

A beloved child of God, here on this earth.
